This Is Because; The Non Diegetic Sound Which Has Been Used Is Mainly Played On Contented Occasions Were The Children Are Able To Take Pleasure In Listening To. As The Sound Track Suddenly Turns Off And The Voice Over Is Being Heard, This Shows The More Dramatic Side To The Trailer Which Therefore Creates An Enigma, For The Audience To Go And Watch The Film. The Main Points Are Featured In The Trailer As It Enables The Audience To Figure Out What The Film Will Be About. As Each Clip Is Linked On To The Next, It Commences To Unfold The Narrative. Therefore, The Trailer Attracts The People Who Are Into The Horror Movies. Sex And The City, Hide And Seek, Hancock And Prom Night . . x
x . . Different Camera Angles And Their Effects!!

The Still Image Of Both “Hide And Seek” And “Prom Night” Have Been Shown In A Close Up. This Is Because; The Audience Are Then Able To See The Characters Facial Expressions In Order To Feel Their Emotions. Both Movies Are Horror Movies Which Therefore Show The Similarities Between The Two. The “Hide And Seek” Image Shows A Little Girl With An Appearance To Show The Audience How She Is Frightened. However, This Can Also Suggest That She Has Sensed There Is Someone Behind Her. The Use Of Close Up For This Scene Creates Tension As The Shot Builds Up A Mystery For The Audience To Solve. Therefore, Resulting In Suspicion.

However, The Shot Used For The Still Image Of “Hancock” Differs From The Other Images As This Is A Long Shot. The Audience Are Able To See The Main Character In The Middle Of The Setting, Surrounded By A Wild Atmosphere. Extracts From Different Era's . .

Both Low Key Lighting And Back Lighting Has Been Used To Create Dramatic Shadows. The Sound Track Being Played Is Classical To Therefore Create Suspense. As A Result, This Creates An Enigma For The Audience, To Keep Them Watching The Movie. There Is Sound Bridges Being Used As The Sound Appears Before The Actual Clip. Moreover, As You Keep Watching The Extract, There Is A Shot When The Whole Scene Is Pitch Black, Therefore Focusing More On The Genre Which Is A Thriller. There Is High Key Lighting Being Used When The Atmosphere Of The Film Changes. Therefore, The Audience Are Able To See That The Mood Of The Character Has Also Changed. Another Character Is Introduced In The Extract, When He Is Speaking To The Woman. Close Up Shots Are Being Used For The Audience To Focus On The Facial Expressions, In Order To See What They Are Feeling. There Is Also A Shot/Reverse Shot Being Used To Focus On The Main Character, As Well As The Man Who Keeps Appearing. Consequently, This Creates A Mystery For The Audience To Solve Considering Why The Woman Keeps Looking Back. Diegetic Sound Has Been Used As The Audience Are Able To Hear The Dialogue By The Characters. Lastly, A Point Of View Shot Is Also Shown When The Woman Is Driving Her Car. This Helps The Audience Imagine As If They Were Actually There.

Notorious (1946):

The Whole Extract Is Filmed In One Setting, Which Is A Bedroom. The Main Focus Is Upon The Characters Facial Expressions, Therefore There Is Only Medium Shots And Close Up Shots Used, For The Audience To Be Able To View The Characters Expressions And What There Feeling As Well As Catch A Glimpse On The Setting. Close Up Shots Are Used So The Audience Can View The Characters Emotions, For Them To Be Able To Know The Mood Of The Whole Scene And What The Characters Are Feeling. Mostly Low Key Lighting Has Been Used Throughout The Extract As Many Dramatic Shadows Have Been Shown. Moreover, A Lot Of Top Lighting Has Been Used So The Audience Are Able To Pick Up On The Characters Features. Throughout The Whole Scene There Is Only Diegetic Sound Used As It’s The Dialogue Being Spoken By The Characters. Moreover, There Have Been Both High And Low Angle Shots In The Extract, So The Audience Are Able To Focus On The Main Features. Therefore, This Enables Them To Feel What The Characters Are Feeling , And Position Themselves In That Situation.

The Key Differences Of Both Extracts Are That 'Psycho' Uses A Lot Of Different Shots In Order To Grab The Audience Attention In A Variety Of Different Ways. For Example, The Point Of View Shot Is Used So The Audience Can Imagine Themselves In The Characters Position. The Shot/ Reverse Shot Is Also Used As It Then Creates An Enigma For The Audience To Keep Questioning Themselves As To Why The Character Keeps Looking Back, Focusing On The Police Man In The Scene. However, 'Notorious' Just Uses Two Shots Which Are The Medium And Close Up Shot. This Is Because; This Scene Is The Particular Scene Which Focuses On The Characters Emotions. Therefore, They Haven't Used Many Different Shots But Just Two, To Then Get Their Point Across.

* . . Lighting And Its Effects . . *

Still Image From Halloween:

The Lighting Used For This Still Image Shows Both High And Low Key Lighting. Low Key Lighting Is Used Mainly On The Left Side Of The Image. Therefore, The Shade Represents Death. High Key Lighting Is Used For The Effect To Appear More Realistically. Moreover, Under Lighting Has Been Used In Order To Attract The Audience More As The Lighting Used Lets The Viewers See The Characters Facial Expressions. In This Case, There Is A Man Wearing A Mask Standing Beside A Woman Who Appears To Be Dead. Therefore, This Would Attract The Audience More As They Would Like To View The Expressions Considering What May Have Happened.

This Is A Typical Convention To Use In A Horror Movie For The Audience To Then Pick Up On The Genre Straight Away. This Has An Effect On The Audience As The Darkness Of The Image Connotes Danger, Which Then Sets The Mood Of The Film. As Most Of The Still Image Is In Low Key Lighting, The Audience Are Able To Arrange Them To Be Prepared For The Following Scenes.

The Bride Of Chucky:

The Lighting Used For This Extract Is Mostly Low Key Lighting. They Have Used Low Key Lighting In Order To Show The Dramatic Shadows Of The Characters, In This Case The Woman. Therefore, This Would Grab The Attention Of The Viewers More As The Film Would Look More Practical. Moreover, Under Lighting Is Also Used To Then Notify The Audience, That The Movie Is A Thriller. Top Lighting Is Also Used To Show The Features Of The Characters. As A Result, The Audience Are Able To View The Facial Expressions More Clearly.

The Effect Appears More Realistically, To Give The Audience The Impression That Something Bad Is Going To Happen. Therefore, It Creates An Enigma For Them To Carry On Watching The Movie. As There Is A Contrast Between Dark And Light In Some Bits Of The Extract, It Shows The Audience That The Dramatic Scene Will Be Unexpected. Therefore, It Creates More Of A Suspicion For The Viewers To Keep Watching. As There Is A Lot Of Dark Lighting, This Would Connote Evilness In Order For The Viewers To Be Prepared For The Next Couple Of Scenes.

x. Peer Assessment Of Trailer Analyses .x

Simran -
http://www.sim92x.blogspot.com/

"There are several features that make “Face of Fear” an interesting trailer. Many parts of this trailer can appeal to a wide range of audience, firstly you can see that the people who will be attracted to watching this movie will be people who enjoy watching horrors/thrillers not only that but I personally think that a more variety of people will also watch this movie as the trailer is eye catching to watch. This movie is about a group of friends who turn by turn are getting attacked by the villain in the trailer; it shows in graphic detail of everything that is happening within it this will include the camera movement, sound, editing, costume, lighting, and make-up with these key factors this is what makes Face of Fear a trailer to remember."

There Are Several Features Which Make The Face Of Fear Trailer Appealing To The Audience. Whilst Watching The Trailer, You Are Able To See Who The Movie Is Aimed At As It Is Targeted More Towards The People Who Enjoy Thriller. Therefore, The Trailer Is Aimed At A Specific Niche Audience. However, It Is Still Presented To Everyone As The Cast Are Shown As Ordinary People, Lost In The Middle Of Nowhere On A Standard Day. Moreover, I Also Believe The Trailer Is Interesting To Watch As It Is Very Eye Catchy. “Face Of Fear” Is About A Group Of Friends, Who Are Being Followed By The Villain In The Trailer, Who Is Later Revealed As The Slaughterer. The Audience Are Able To View Realistically Everything That Is Or Will Happen. This Includes The Camera Movement, Sound, Editing, Costume, Lighting, And Make Up. With These Key Factors, Face Of Fear Is A Trailer To Remember. Therefore, It Grabs The Audience Attention Instantly.

"The camera work varifies in diffrent types of shots. There are many close ups, take for example, you see a girls eyes, as she crys on the screen- this gives the audience the feeling that something bad has happened, and makes them want to know what it is. Also the use of close up is used to focus on the pysco's facial expression- which is angry, this is also makes us wonder why he is angry. The shots that we see are quite short, about a second long at maximum- this is to create a narative enigma. Also it is so that the trailer doesn't drag on for to long, so it only focuses on the important parts."

The Camera Work Verifies In Different Types Of Shots. This Is Shown Throughout The Trailer As There Are Many Close Up Shots Used. For Example, When One Of The Actor’s Eyes Are Zoomed Upon, For The Audience To Sense That Something Bad Has Happened. Therefore, This Makes Them Want To Know What Would Happen, Resulting In Watching The Film. The Use Of Close Up’s Is Also Focused On The Psycho’s Facial Expressions. This Shows The Audience How The Actor Playing The Slaughterer Is Shown To Be Annoyed. This Again Attracts The Audience For Them To Go And Watch The Film. Moreover, The Make Up Used, Also Makes Clear That The Psycho Is The Main Villain In The Film. Each Shot Used Lasts For Around A Second Each. Consequently, This Creates A Narrative Enigma For The Audience, Keeping Them In Suspense Throughout The Whole Preview. Also, The Trailer Shows The Main Plot Of The Story, Instead Of Including Irrelevant Details, As The Students Didn’t Want The Trailer To Seem As If It’s Dragging Along.

“The costumes which the actors wear in the trailer are normal clothes which teenagers living in west London wear, showing how anyone can be affected by bullying, as the girl in the trailer is a normal teenager, but she is picked on and made to feel different. The actors themselves are young aged teenagers in 6th form to relate to the plot of the trailer. The setting of the trailer is in Greenford 6th form to show everyone that even people who are about to become young adults can be affected by bullying, and that this stuff happens when there are hundreds of other people around but nobody notices.”

The Costumes Which The Actors Wear In The Trailer Are Casual Clothing Which Regular People Tend To Wear On A Day To Day Basis; Therefore This Attracts The Audience As They Are Able To See What People Have To Cope With In Life, Reflecting On Real Life Issues. The Trailer Shows How Anyone Can Be Affected By Harassment, As The Main Character In The Clip Is The Victim Of Bullying. The Setting Of The Trailer Is In Greenford 6th Form, To Show How You Can Get Affected By Bullying Throughout Any Age In Life. Face Of Fear Analysis - Essay .x

The “Face Of Fear” Trailer Lasts For Around 2 Minutes, 34 Seconds. Face Of Fear Is About A Group Of Friends Lost In The Middle Of Nowhere. A Psychopath Is Then Shown To Be After Them As He Wishes To Slaughter Each Person There. This Trailer Appeals To People Who Are Into The Theme Of Horror. This Is Because, The Trailer Shows Clips Of The Psychopath Wanting To Slay The Friends, Therefore, Following Wherever They Go. As A Result, This Creates An Enigma For The Audience As It Shows A Lot Of Suspense, Leaving The Audience To Question What Is Going To Happen Next.

The Viewers Are Told The Name Of The Film At The End Of The Trailer. This Is Because, The Audience Are Able To Take In A Brief Summary About What The Film Would Be About, Before Knowing What It Is Called. The Film Name Is Placed At The End Of The Trailer To Leave The Audience In Suspense As To What The Film Will Be About. The Title “Face Of Fear” Would Sum Up The Film, As It Can Be Interpreted In A Number Of Ways. Firstly, Face Of Fear Can Bring Out A Message To The Audience, As How You Should Always Face The Things That Are Bothering You, Or Are In The Way. Also, It Can Mean How Fear Is Always Something That You Will Come Across In Life, One Day Or Another. Therefore, You Are Going To Have To Face It Sooner Or Later.

Moreover, The Type Of Action The Audience Can See In The Trailer Is Shots Such As Throwing A Boy Across The Fence, Placing A Girl Into A Wheel Barrow With Her Being Unconscious And Pouring Petrol Over One Of The Actors. Therefore, This Suggests That The Trailer Is Suitable For People From The Ages 15 And Onwards. The Audience Can Directly Pick Up On The Theme Of The Trailer Once It Comes To The End. The Trailer Starts Of With A Slow Song And Gradually Picks Up On The Beat Which Attracts The Audience More. When The Song Is Playing In A Slow Mode, The Scenes Are Shown To Be Longer. However, When The Beat Changes, The Shots Each Last For Around 2 Seconds, To Go Along With The Hit Of The Song. This Attracts The Audience More And Again, Leaves Them Questioning As To What Will Happen Next. As A Result, The Music Gives The Viewers The Sense That They Are Advertising A Trailer For People Who Are Into The Theme Of Horror As The Sound Chosen, Goes Directly With The Genre. The Trailer Uses Diegetic Sound As The Audience Are Able To Hear Some Of The Dialogue, As Well As The Soundtrack Being Played In The Background.

The Directors Of “Face Of Fear” Have Used A Variety Of Different Camera Effects Such As The Hidden Camera Effect And The Point Of View Shot. They Have Also Used Close Ups, So The Audience Can Catch A Glimpse Of Their Facial Expressions, And To Show The Viewers When There Is A “Private Number” Ringing One Of The Actors Mobiles. This Creates More Of A Dramatic Effect For The Audience As They Are Struck In Suspense As To What May Happen Next. They Have Also Used Long Shots So The Audience Are Able To View The Setting Of The Scene As Well As Examine The Actors Clothing, Which May Help Them Sense Who The Trailer May Appeal To. Furthermore, They Have Also Used Extreme Close Up Shots, So They Can Focus On Just One Specific Feature, Such As The Actors Eyes When Crying.

The Mise En Scene Is What Is Being Shown On The Screen As A Whole. The Actors In Face Of Fear Wear Normal Clothing That People Wear On A Day To Day Basis. Therefore, This Appeals To The Audience, As It Shows That They're Regular People Lost In The Middle Of Nowhere, Trying To Find There Way Back. The Lighting Is Also Shown To Be Very Dim. This Is Because; They Are Reflecting Upon A Serious Note, Trying To Grab The Audience Attention More. The Whole Trailer Is Shown To Be In The Dark. The Actor Playing The Psychopath Plays His Role Well As He Is Able To Pull The Audience Attention To Be Focused On Just Him. He Expresses His Role Well, Making The Viewers Believe That He Is A Real Psychopath.

Lastly, It Is More Effective In Making The Viewers Want To Watch The Film Through The Advertisement Of A Trailer Rather Than A Poster, As In The Trailer; You Are Able To See More Information Being Given. The Trailer Allows You To Introduce The Whole Cast As Well As Deliver A Short Summary About The Movie. However, With A Poster, You Are Not Able To See Much Information. Therefore, The Viewers Will Not Be Able To Know What The Film Is Going To Be About Etc. As A Result, The Audience Will Not Get Attracted Into Watching The Movie. I Would Be Expected To See This Trailer After The Films Rated 15 In The Cinemas. This Is Because, This Trailer Has Scenes Where The Psychopath Can Appear On Screen So Sudden, Therefore, This Will Not Be Suitable For The Younger Audience. Also, I Would Be Expected To See This Trailer After The Watershed (9.00pm) As The Younger Children May Be Watching TV And Would Be Able To Catch A Glimpse Of The Trailer Before Then.

Radio Drama - Little Britain (BBC Radio 7):

__________________________________________________________

The Three Texts That I Have Selected Are American Pie (Film), Friends (TV Series) And Little Britain (Radio Drama). Each Text Is Linked To One Another As There All Connected To Comedy. Therefore, The Target Audience Are People Who Are Into Humour. However, Each Text Is Amusing In Different Ways. The Similarities Between The Three Texts Is That They Each Contain Some Sort Of Sexual Reference. This Is What American Pie Includes The Most, For The Movie To Have Become A Success. However, Friends Includes Different Type Of Comedy, Which The Audience Are Able To View Through Specific Characters. This Is Also The Same With Little Britain.

The Three Texts Differ From One Another As “American Pie” Is Aimed At People From The Age Of 15 Onwards. This Is Due To The Inappropriate Images And Language Used In The Film, Which Would Not Be Suitable For The Younger Audience. However, The TV Series “Friends” Is Aimed At People From The Age Of 12 And Onwards. On The Other Hand, The Radio Drama “Little Britain” Is Aimed At Everyone As It Is Presented At 3.30 And 10.30. Therefore, All Age Groups Are Able To Tune In.

P r o m o t i o n . .

American Pie Is Distributed By The UNIVERSAL PICTURES. The Film Was Advertised At The Cinemas, Before The Films That Were Rated 15. This Is Because, The Audience Viewing The Films Rated 15 May Also Have Been Interested In Watching This Movie, Therefore, This Was A Way To Grab A Wider Audience. Moreover, It Was Advertised As Posters And On Internet Pop Ups. American Pie Was Also Advertised On Television, Therefore, The Film Was Very Popular Since A Lot Of People Went To Watch It.

Friends Is Distributed By The Warner Bros Television And Is Promoted Through Television And The Internet. Through Television, It Is Mainly Advertised In The Evening, So The Target Audience Get A Chance To View The Advertisement.

Little Britain Is Produced By BBC. As A Result, It Is Advertised On All BBC Radio Stations. Due To The Fact That There Are A Lot Of BBC Radio Stations, Little Britain Gets Advertised Often Making Certain It Grabs The Audience Attention. The Distributor For Little Britain Is BBC Radio 7. They Have There Own Homepage With Appropriate Details, Such As The Scheduling, As To When The Radio Drama Is Going To Be Played. Moreover, Little Britain Was Also Promoted Through Online Games And Competitions, To Grab More Of The Audience Attention.

Therefore, The One Thing Each Text Has In Common Is That They Were All Promoted Through Sites On The Internet.

. . Analysis Of A Trailer .x

Saving Faith

The Sound Effect:
The Soundtrack Played In The Trailer Starts Of With A Slow Tune And Gradually Changes To A Fast Beat. This Creates A Dramatic Affect To The Trailer, As It Excites The Audience For Them To Be Able To See That There Is More To The Film. This Therefore Attracts The Audience As They Are Able To Engage In The Trailer As Well As Make Certain They Watch It Until The End.

The Length Of The Trailer:
The Length Of The Trailer Is Quite Short, As The Whole Trailer Lasts For 2 Minutes. This Therefore Gives The Audience A Chance To See A Brief Overview Of The Film, Making Certain There Not Getting Hold Of The Whole Story. This Also Shows, How Quick The Creators Have Used There Shots To Be Able To Create A Linear Medley Of Shots Which Are Unfolding A Story As They Go Along. Therefore, The Audience Are Then Able To Realize What The Film Will Be About.

Camera Shots:
There Are A Variety Of Shots Used In The Trailer “Saving Faith” Such As Long Shots So The Audience Are Able To View The Whole Mise En Scene. Also, Close Ups So The Viewers Can See The Facial Expressions Which Will Show The Characters Appearance In More Depth. Therefore, This Gives The Audience A Sense Of What The Characters Roles Will Be And How This Will Turn Into A Story. Moreover, The Students Have Also Used Shots Which Involves Being Recorded With A Character On Transport While The Camera Is Recording Through The Window. This Also Creates An Effect As It Shows The Different Shots Used, Therefore, Giving A Sense That The Film Is Set In A Variety Of Different Areas.

The Lighting Being Used:
The Lighting Of The Shots Changes Throughout The Trailer, As Some Of The Shots Are Filmed In Daylight Whereas, The Other Shots Are Filmed In The Dark. This Therefore Gives The Audience A Brief Idea On What The Trailer Is Going To Be About As Most Of The Shots Are Filmed In The Dark Which Shows That The Trailer Will Be A Thriller. The Lighting Is Shown To Be Fairly Dim When The Characters Are Holding Guns, Showing Violence. This Then Reflects The Idea On What The Film Is Going To Be About.

The Mise En Scene/ Setting:
The Trailer Is Set In A Variety Of Different Places. “Saving Faith” Has Scenes Filmed In The Graveyard, In A City, Near Local Houses, Near A Police Station Etc. Therefore, This Shows Us As The Audience What Sort Of Footage Would Take Place In The Actual Film. Therefore, This Gives The Audience A Brief Idea On What To Expect When They Go To Watch The Movie.

The Characters In Saving Faith Wear Clothes Such As Hoodies. Therefore, This Shows The Audience That the Trailer Is Aimed at the Younger Generation, The Youths In Today’s Society.

A d U L T H O O D

After Kidulthood Comes Adulthood . .

Hard Hitting Reflection Of What Life Is Like For 21st Century Teenagers, Where Sex Is Currency, Drugs Are Easy To Come By And Violence Is A Way Of Life.

The Primary Audience Of This Film Is Young Teenagers Who Can Use The Text As A Sense Of A Certain Understanding. This Is Due To The Fact That The Viewers Can Learn Not To Use Violence As Their Answers To Everything. This Is Because, Hostility Will Affect Them In Their Life Later On Which Would Then Lead To Further Consequences. Moreover, Adulthood Can Inspire Them To Go The Right Way In Life As Most Teenagers Watching The Film Will Be Growing Up From Teenagers To Young Adults. The Shots Used Revolving In The Actors Holding Guns (Action Code) Would Attract The Audience More As This Is What Grabs More Of The Attention Of Younger Audiences. This Is Because, The Gangster Genre Tend To Be One Of The Younger Audiences Favourite Theme.
The Representation Of Adulthood Feature Young Teenagers Being Brought Up In The Same Environment, Therefore They Have To Oblige Everyone To Do The Same Thing. This Results In Sex, Drugs And Crime. Adulthood Shows Teenagers From Ages 14 And Onwards Getting Themselves Involved In Corrupted Situations. This Gives Out A Message To The Audience, Not To Follow The Crowd As It Will Lead You Through To The Wrong Path.
The Narrative Structure Is Based Around A Continuous Part Of Kidulthood, Where The Criminal In Part One (Sam) Is Released From Jail. Commotion Takes Place When The Victim’s Friend From The First Part – Kidulthood (Jay) Wants Revenge Due To Him Killing His Best Friend. As A Result, The Story Is Based Around Sam Realising That Life Is No Easier On The Outside Than It Was On The Inside, Therefore Confronting The People He Hurt Most.
Film Trailers Tend To Create An Enigma To The Audience As It Shows A Lot Of Suspense, Which Therefore Makes The Viewers Want To Go And Watch The Film. The Trailer Of Adulthood Is In The Form Of A Linear Medley Of Shots Since Each Scene Links On To The Next As It Commences To Unfold The Story. The Shots Used In The Trailer Each Last For Around 3 Seconds Each Making It More Effective For The Viewers To See. This Would Therefore Attract More And More People To Watch The Film.
Alongside The Shots, Some Tend To Freeze For A Couple Of Seconds With A Statement Written Above Or Below The Screen. This Therefore Gives A Brief Overview To The Audience On What The Film Is Going To Be About. This Also Creates Expectations For What The Audience Are Going To Look Forward To Seeing As The Trailer Includes A Bit Of Sexual And Violent Scenes.

The Three Best Productions I Personally Felt Were Good Are:

Face Of Fear -

This Was Because The Production Itself Was Based On Horror. This Was One Of My Favourite Productions As The Directors Had Used A Soundtrack Which Went Directly With The Theme Of The Production. Face Of Fear Captured The Audience Attention Within Seconds Due To The Main Character (Rajan) Being Portayed As A Psychopath. Moreover, The Students Shooting The Production Considered Their Shots Well As They Used Different Angles To Shoot Their Trailor. They Used Long Shots For The Audience To See The Whole Image As Well As Close Ups For The Audience To View The Facial Expressions. Furthermore, They Also Had The Hidden Camera Affect Where The Camera Was Placed Beneath Bushes, Focusing On Two Of The Characters. This Went Well With The Genre Of Horror.

A Rapper's Ambition -

This Production Was Also One Of My Favourite Productions As The Trailor Itself Was About The Journey Of An Upcoming Artist. This Impressed Me As It Shows That You Can Follow Your Dream If You Believe In Yourself. I Found This Trailor Very Interesting, As It Focused On A Lot Of Different Shots Such As The Bottle Shot As It Was Unique. The Directors Of 'A Rapper's Ambition', Also Used An Original Soundtrack Which Therefore Showed Me As A Student How Much Work They Had Put Into Their Production. The Use Of Camera Angles Gave The Production An Overall Dramatic Effect As They Had Used Quick Shots Which Lasted Around 3 Seconds Each. Moreover, The Group Edited Their Production Well As They Created Unique Effects To Grab The Audience Attention.

Silent Pain -

This Production Was The One That Touched Me The Most. Silent Pain Is About Marital Rape Being A Contemporary Issue. This Production Was Also One Of My Favourite Productions As It Shows How The Darker Side Is Always Kept In The Dark. This Documentary Grabbed My Attention As It Focused On Rape Within Marriage, Something That Women Tend To Cope With. Therefore, This Brought Out Awareness Of How Serious It Is. This Production Used Relevant Images To Present Back The Documentary Such As "Real Men Don't Rape". In Additon, The Use Of Sound The Group Had Used For The Documentary Went Well With The Emotions That Were Being Shown. This Documentary Gave The Audience A Brief Overview About What Can Happen Within A Number Of Relationships.

x. My Ideas On How To Regulate The Internet .x

What I Think About The Issues Surrounding Being Able To Access Ideas From All Over The World Publishing Our Words And Images . .

Firstly, This Suggests That People Are Now Able To View Ideas From All Over The World. The Public Are Now Able To Get Hold Of Public Information As Well As Private Information Such As People’s Names, Their Social Backgrounds, How Old They Are, What Their Likes And Dislikes Are Etc. This Information Is Now Viewed By Anyone Using The Internet. Therefore, We Do Not Know What Sort Of People Can Be Reading Through The Profiles. Many People Are Concerned About The Fact Whether The People Viewing The Profiles Are Teenagers Or People Over The Age Of 30 As This Could Also Come Across Pedophilia.

Who Would Be Responsible For Internet Regulation . . ?

In My opinion, I Think A New Devising System Should Be Introduced. With This, The Information Being Sent Would Be Monitored, Making Sure Whatever Is Being Passed On Would Not Affect Anyone’s Life In Any Way. Moreover, The Devising System Should Also Be Able To Check The Common Sites Being Used By People Such As Facebook Or Myspace, To Block The Unsuitable Content Being Sent In.

Are There Any Existing Bodies Who Could/ Should Do This?

There Is Already A Company Called The ICCAN. This Is A Non Profit Business That Wants The U.S Government For Organizing A Specific Internet Technical Function. This Includes Managing The Internet Domain Name System.

Would It Require A New Organization..?

I Personally Believe That This Would Not Require A New Organisation As The Company Is Starting To Reinforce Stricter Rules On The Information Which Is Posted Up On The Internet. Therefore, By Design It Would Help Regulate The Internet Itself.

How Would It Be Monitored . . ?

This Could Be Monitored By Introducing Another Devise To Be Able To Observe What Sort Of Information Is Being Posted Up Onto The Internet. With This, People Are More Likely To Be Safer And Most Importantly, Feel Safer.
